Monday was cloudy, then sunny and finally rainy – just like Ireland. We had a brilliant evening in a private room in the Heart and Crown, a beautiful Irish pub in Ottawa’s Byward Market. We had food, drinks, a personal playlist of Irish music, and a lot of chatter. We stayed until late. The reading excerpts chosen for the event were hand-picked for the appreciative Canadian Heritage employees in the audience.
Thank you to Carly and Caroline (photo top right) for making it easy, the fab staff at the Heart and Crown, and all the attendees. A special shout out to Annie, the bartender that took home her own signed copy!
